Vocational, Training & Education (VET) Awards

This is an annual event, supporting the V.E.T. students from secondary schools in the region. It is sponsored by our club, The Lower North Futures and the Department for Education. It continues to grow in stature and interest.


Caravan Driver Awareness Training

The club sponsors one day training sessions with an accredited trainer in the many aspects of caravan safety and control. The project is supported by the Barossa Tourist Park and SA Police. Open to drivers, and their partners, of all types of towed recreational vehicles.


RYDA – Rotary Youth Driver Awareness

Students from local high schools participate in a full day of activities and learn from an impressive range of speakers who cover topics relevant to young people about to embark on a journey of car ownership and road use.


EMIB – Emergency Medical Information Book

A community service project by Rotary, Lions Club and St John Ambulance Service.

The ‘Emergency Medical Information Book’ contains all your information and medical records which are needed if or when an ambulance is called and you need to be transported to a hospital. Available from club members.  https://emib.org.au


RYLA – Rotary Youth Leadership Awards

Rotary’s leadership training program for young people. RYLA participants can be ages 18-25. Our young RYLA students spend a week at camp particpation. RYLA emphasizes leadership, citizenship and personal growth.

ShelterBox

Shelter Box Australia is raising funds to provide shelter and clean water to victims of disasters.

ShelterBox was one of the first aid organizations to reach victims of the Queensland flood Japan Earthquake providing assistance to the hundreds of thousands left homeless after the earthquake. https://www.shelterboxaustralia.org.au/


ROMAC – Rotary Oceania Medical Aid for Children

In 1999, through ROMAC, our Club sponsored Putu Edi to come to Australia from Bali for a life saving heart operation.

RYPEN – Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment

A leadership program designed for 14-18 year olds. This program is a weekend residential run by Rotary leaders/trainers and RYPEN past participants.
