Do you have an outstanding employee?

  • Post author:

Applications are now open for businesses in the Barossa Valley to show their appreciation for the input of outstanding employees.  Our club will host the annual Employee of the Year Appreciation awards dinner on Monday 9 December, 2019.  This is an informal, friendly opportunity for businesses to publicly acknowledge a valued member of their staff.  Family, friends and any other supporters are very welcome to attend.  Contact President Brian or Secretary Ray for the details and register by 29 November, 2019.

Getting our exercise

  • Post author:

It is now November and club members and our large band of club supporters are walking the streets of the towns in the Barossa Valley delivering the Barossa Link phone books to homes and businesses. We have done this for several years and it is a great source of funds for distribution to our community and to Rotary’s health and international support programs. The weather has been kind to us this year and the walking is good exercise.

Celebrating young people

Our last meeting saw thirteen young people from the local secondary schools honoured through our annual Vocational Education and Training (VET) Awards. Rotary recognises the importance of encouraging the youth in our community and the VET awards go to students who have been put forward by their VET coordinators as having demonstrated exceptional input and enthusiasm in their chosen course. The students had many family members with them for the dinner meeting and it was a rewarding event for our members.
